This resource gathering is tough stuff lol.

Seems to take ages to get enought together to do any serious buliding.

What is the best way to balance the village development?

Well the way i have done it with practically all my villages is build up one of each clay, wood and iron fields then done some buildings in the village centre that need building or upgrading and then going back and doing one of clay, wood, iron and wheat if needed and training soldiers inbetween as and when needed
